Wednesday morning at 1 o’clock occurred the death of John Seeley. He has been sick all winter and was confined to bed for more than a month from dropsy. Mr. Seeley was born in Cayuga Falls, N.Y., Jan. 5, 1830, and moved to Ohio with his parents at the age of 4 years. In 1856 he moved to Illinois and settled on a farm four miles west of Green Valley. In 1856 he was married to Miss Mary McGalliard, who died fourteen years ago. On August 25, 1902, he was married to Miss Ada Coriell, who survives him. Mr. Seeley is the last of his generation and was the oldest citizen of this vicinity. Funeral will be held Saturday at 2 o’clock p.m. from the M.E. church.
