Mrs. William Seeley

Mrs. William Seeley, born September 6, 1839 in French Grant, this county, died at five o’clock Thursday evening August 10, 1916, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Seymour Burke, 1119 Monroe Street, heart trouble causing death.

Before marriage the deceased was Miss Jemima Burns. She was married to William Seeley Feb. 21, 1861. To this union were born five sons and four daughters. Two children have preceeded their mother to the grave. Mrs. Seely is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. John Frederick, Mrs. Sophia Graff, Mrs. Seymour Burke and Charles Seeley, of this city, George and Amos of Haverhill and Asa of Missouri.

Mrs. Seeley spent most of her life near Franklin Furnace and moved to this city twelve years ago. She was a kind, home-loving woman, loved by all who knew her. Through her many kind acts she won a host of friends.

Mrs. Seeley lacked only 26 days of being eighty years of age. Her husband is one day younger. In childhood, Mrs. Seeley joined the M. E. church at Franklin Furnace.
