ROCK FALLS – James Lewis Seeley Sr., 85, of Rock Falls, died Thursday, July 4, 2013, at his home.
James was born Dec. 14, 1927, in New Hampton, Iowa, to Edwin and Crystal (Simpson) Seeley. He married Mary A. Bugiyne on Dec. 29, 1957, in Ohio. James worked for International Harvester in Rock Falls. He then worked at Northwestern Steel and Wire Co. in Sterling, retiring in 1990. Finally, after retirement, James worked at Bollman Motors in Rock Falls. He was a veteran of the Army.
Survivors include his wife, Mary of Rock Falls; four children, Richard (Debbie) Seeley of Rock Falls, Sharon (Kevin) Walker of Nelson, Crystal Wakeley of Lee Center, and James L. (Bonnie) Seeley Jr. of Tampico; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death his parents, three sisters, and one stepson.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Military honors will be accorded immediately after the visitation.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has established.
