Mrs. Isabelle B. Seeley, 84, of Cass City, retired dietitian from Hills & Dales General Hospital, passed away Monday, April 21, 2008 at Tendercare in Cass City. Isabelle was born on June 11, 1923 in Tyre to the late John and Anna (Beulla) Stepka.
She married Clark Seeley on June 28, 1947 in Bay City. He preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 1994.
Isabelle attended Ubly High School and Michigan State University. She was a member of the National Hospital Institutional Food Service Organization.
Isabelle was a certified dietitian for the Pleasant Home Hospital in Cass City for 20 years. She worked for Hills & Dales General Hospital in Cass City for 25 years, retiring in 1985. Isabelle was a resident of Cass City and parishioner at St. Pancratius Catholic Church since 1940. She was a former member of the Altar Society and life member of the Women’s Group. Isabelle was a member of the Cass City Senior Citizens and drove for the meal site. She was a former member of the Zonta Club in Cass City. Isabelle enjoyed cats, traveling, gardening, flowers and bingo.
Isabelle is survived by one sister, Anna Mae Hall and her husband, Robert Sr., of Port Huron; one special niece, Sherryl Seeley; several nieces and nephews, Margaret Hall, Robert Hall Jr., John Hall Sr.; great-nieces and nephews, Kevin Hall, John Hall Jr., Ann Marie Hall, Amber Hall; her Godchildren, John Hall Sr., Robert Hall Jr., Bill Ehrlich, Cynthia Nowiski.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:15 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2008 at St. Pancratius Catholic Church in Cass City. The Rev. Stephen Fillion, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Elkland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly and from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Friday at the church.
Memorials are requested to the Family Discretionary Fund.
