Hubert Leslie Seeley

(1881- 1959)

Hubert Leslie Seeley, 77, who had lived in the Limon community until moving to Fort Morgan three years ago, died at 6 a.m. today in the Fort Morgan Community Hospital.

Seeley was born May 14, 1881 in Alden, Iowa. He was married to Nellie House May 24, 1903 in Webster City, Iowa. He came to Colorado in 1906 and homesteaded south of Limon. While there, he was active in community affairs and served as president of the school board. He moved to Fort Morgan in September 1955.

Besides his wife, Nellie, Seeley is survived by one son, Hubert J. of Corvallis, Ore. and his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Pearl Seeley of Fort Morgan. There are 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Two sons, Clare and Charles, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Cutier Joiliffe Chapel with Rev. N.W. Underwood officiating. Interment will be in Riverside cemetery.
