Hazel Ellen Seeley Feb. 17, 1921 – June 1, 2008
Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 9th, in Hillcrest Memorial Park, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield. Visitation will be Saturday, June 7th, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., at Mission Family Mortuary, 531 California Ave.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and Hazel Record; her husband, Ernest Seeley; brothers, Glenn and Clint Record; and nephew, Wes Record. Ellen is leaving behind her beloved children, Loren Seeley, Donna and husband, Ray Dominguez; two granddaughters, Charmaine and husband, Doug Gaskill, Shanna and husband, Cecil Wetzstein; four great- grandchildren, Clay and Morgan Wetzstein, Caitlin and Chance Gaskill; a brother, Rex Record and his wife, Beverly of Austin, CO and their families; 5 nephews and their wives; 2 nieces, 4 great-great-nieces and nephews, all too numerous to name them all.
From a Pioneer Family and being born and educated in Bakersfield, Ellen was well known for her great cooking. Many a brandings she arrived loaded down with good things to eat. No one went away hungry. She and Ernest loved to dance, and in her day attended many a dance. Ellen enjoyed life to its fullest. “A goodbye to a Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and Friend”. Ellen will be missed.
