Harold T. Seeley

(1892- 1962)

Harold T. Seeley, 69, of 276 Chestnut St., died Monday April 9, at the Fox Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient about three weeks. Mr. Seeley had been ill for four months.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 12, at 2 p.m., in the Bookout Funeral Home, the Rev. Joseph A. Fiske, pastor of Elm Park Methodist Church of Oneonia, officiating.

Burial will be in Plains Cemetery, Oneonta.

Mr. Seeley was born July 8, 1892, in Carlisle, Pa., son of Frank and Frances (Clemon) Seeley.

He married Mabel Van de Warker Nov. 27, 1915 in Oneonta. Mrs. Seeley died March 23, 1957.

Mr. Seeley, who worked for the D&H for 45 years, retired as an engineer in 1961. He was a resident of Oneonta most of his life.

Mr. Seeley was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Oneonta Aerie 1260; the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers; and was a veteran of World War I.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Whitney J. Shaver, 276 Chestnut St.; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Fraking, and Mrs. Ruth Thomas both of Schenectady; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience until service time.

The family will be in attendance from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday evening.
