Gerard Seeley Dies in 69th Year

Veteran of the Spanish American war, Gerard Underhill Seeley, 68, resident of 12 Fitchett street, died Saturday in Vassar hospital. He had been ill the last two weeks.

Born in Millbrook in August 1878. Mr. Seeley was the son of the late John and Ida Underhill Seeley. In 1906, he married Miss Caroline Herman in Red Hook. For 60 years, Mr. Seeley had made his home here. He was employed as a shipping clerk in the store of Luckey, Platt and Co. for some time. Mr. Seeley was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist.

Surviving are his wife: two sons, Gerard Walter and Raymond Seeley: two sisters, Mrs. Ada Traver, Rhinebeck, and Mrs. Edith Turner, here, and a brother, Guy Seeley, New York City.

Funeral services will be conducted at the home at 2:30 o’clock, tomorrow. Abram B. Atkins will officiate. Burial will be in the Poughkeepsie Rural cemetery, under the direction of the Schlude Funeral service.
