Fordyce Keith Seeley

(1847- 1942)

Fordyce Keith Seeley, 94, former resident of Massillon, died Saturday evening at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Ella May Caskey, of 28 4th st., Shebly. A granddaughter, Mrs. Charles Roth, of Shelby; and four great grandchildren also survive. Mr. Seeley was born in this city and spent most of his life here. For many years he was a glass blower in a local glass factory.

The funeral will b held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Roth residence at 28 4th st., Shelby, with the Rev. D.B. Young in charge. Services also will be held at 3:30 at the Massillon cemetery in which interment will be made. The body is at the Roth residence.

AGED RESIDENT OF SHELBY DIES

SHELBY – Fordyce Keith Seeley, 94, died Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ella May Caskey, 26 Fourth street, after a lingering illness.

He was born in Massillon on Nov. 14, 1847 and had lived there most of his life with the exception of the few years he had lived in Shelby. A glass blower by trade, Seeley had been employed at a glass factory in Massillon for a long number of years.

Besides the daughter, he is survived by one granddaughter, Mrs. Charles Roth of Shelby and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Roth home here and at 3:30 p.m. at the Massillon cemetery where burial services will be held. Rev. D.B. Young, pastor of Shelby Lutheran church, will officiate for the services.
