Fern Seeley

(1912- 2002)

Died Saturday, July 20, 2002 in Florida. She was born December 18, 1912 in Beaverton, MI, the daughter of Albert James and Nora Loraine (Ritchie-VanGelder) Seeley. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School, and Received a degree in Pharmacy from Ferris. She retired from Indian River Memorial Hospital in Florida, and was Past President of the Michigan Women’s Bowling Association, 1962 – 69. Surviving are a brother, Gerald (Clara) Seeley of Gobles; nieces, Rena (Donald) Toppen of Plainwell, Nancy Seeley-Logan of Vicksburg, and Charlotte Adams of Kalamazoo. She was preceded in death by a sister, Reata Ballinger; a niece, Sandy Peterson; and a nephew, Daniel Ballinger. Cremation has taken place. There will be no services.

FERN SEELEY

Fern Seeley, 89 of Vero Beach, died unexpectedly July 20, 2002, at Indian River Memorial Hospital.

She was born Dec. 18, 1912, in Beaverton, Michigan and moved to Vero Beach in 1968 from Battle Creek, Michigan.

Mrs. Seely worked as a druggist at Cunningham Drug Store in Battle Creek for 35 years.

She worked in the cafeteria at Indian River Memorial Hospital prior to her retirement.

Mrs. Seeley was past president of the Michigan Women’s Bowling Association, Battle Creek.

Surviving are her friend, Norman Saunders, of Rotonda West, and one brother, Gerald Seely of Gobles, Mich.

There will be no repose or visitation. No services are scheduled.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Vero Beach, P.O. Box 644, Vero Beach, FL 32964, in Mrs. Seeley’s memory. Arrangements are under the direction of Indian River Cremation Inc., Vero Beach.
