CONWAY: Elizabeth A. “Bet” Seeley, 73, wife of the late Richard Stanley Seeley, resident of the Myrtle Trace Retirement Community, went home to be with her Heavenly Father Monday, November 3, 2008.
Mrs. Seeley was born and raised in Washington, D.C., a daughter of the late Francis Alfons and Mary Dorothy Murphy Schutte. She was a 1952 graduate of Notre Dame Academy and was a member of St. James Catholic Church. Elizabeth and her husband moved to the Myrtle Beach area in 1989 following their retirement with distinguished service from the United States Government.
Surviving are two sons, Richard S. Seeley of Chicago, Illinois, and Edward F. “Frank” Seeley and his wife, Amy, of Myrtle Beach; two daughters, Tessie Winslow and her husband, Mark, of Myrtle Beach, and Tina Forbrich of Shreveport, La.; seven grandchildren, Andrew and Emily Seeley and their mother, Sherri Seeley, Angelo Seeley and Elizabeth Seeley Wait and their mother, Rosa Seeley, Brynn Forbrich, and Chris and Alex Winslow; several great-grandchildren including, Tony and Tiffany Seeley, and Jackson and William Wait; two sisters, Virginia Campbell of Surfside Beach, and Gretchen Legler of Aynor; two brothers, Fred Schutte and his wife, Betty, of Surfside Beach, and Dick Schutte and his wife, Linda, of Colonial Beach, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2008 in St. James Catholic Church with Father John Silver officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
Friends are invited to join the family at a repast at the Myrtle Trace Clubhouse immediately following the graveside service.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 2008 at the funeral home with a Prayer Service to be held at 7 p.m.
