DeLoss Seeley

(1913- 1986)

Mr. Seeley was born May 22, 1913, in DeLong, Ind., and at an early age moved with his family to Spokane where he grew up and attended schools. He was graduated from the University of Washington in 1940 and on March 1, 1942, was married to Marian Haagen. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.

The Seeleys lived in Ellensburg for a time, then in Seattle for a number of years and Tacoma for 18 years. They moved to Olympia three years ago.

Mr. Seeley began his banking career with Great Northwest Federal Savings and Loan Association in 1940 and following World War II continued there until his retirement in 1985 as president and chairman of the Board. He had attended the Savings and Loan Institute in Bloomington, Ind., and taught Institute classes for savings and loan institutions in Seattle and Bremerton.

Survivors, in addition to his wife in Tumwater, include one son, Gary, also Tumwater, and a sister, Mable I. Sherwood, Spokane.
