Clara E. Seeley, 92. of South Haven died Monday, July 28 at South Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. She was born June 30, 1916 in Baldwin, Michigan to Frederick and Grace (Booher) Smith. Clara worked for Welch Grape Juice as a lab technician for 15 years. She also worked at Claridge Fan Company in Kalamazoo for 10 years. Clara was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Paw Paw and White Oak Poetry Club of Paw Paw. Clara enjoyed gardening, reading, crossword puzzles and dearly loved her dogs and cats. She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husbands – Jim Litell who died in 1967 and Gerald Seeley in 2004. her daughter – Nancy Cramer in 1997, granddaughter – Lorrie Ann Cramer in 1979 and her sister – Dolly Smith in 1938. She is survived by her daughter – Betsy Greenman of South Haven, Michigan. 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Visitation will be Thursday, July 31 from 10 – 10:30 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Duane Jones officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, Lawton, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to South Haven Hospice at Home or the First Congregational Church of South Haven.
