Funeral Of Mrs. Seeley

Deceased Survived by Husband And Their Six Children

The late Mrs. Charlotte Austin Seeley, whose funeral takes place in this city today, was born in Austinburg, Ohio, August 26, 1822. She was the daughter of Rev. Eliphalet Austin and Sally Cowles Austin and a lineal descendant of Rev. Thomas Hooker. She made her home in Ohio until ten years ago, when she came with her husband to Portland to be with their children in a mild climate. She is survived by her husband, B. Seeley, and six children: Mrs. Albert H. Tuttle of Virginia, L.B. Seeley and Mrs. C.R. Bernard of this city, Uri Seeley of Seattle, E.A. Seeley of Mexico, and O.W. Seeley of Ohio. Mr. Seeley was of sterling New England stock, received her college education at Oberlin, and was a woman of unusual mind and strength of character, combined with great sweetness of disposition and charity to all.
