STERLING- Cecil R. “Buzz” Seeley, 77, of Sterling, died Thursday, July 3, 2014, at his home. He was employed Northwestern Steel and Wire Co.

Cecil was born Sept. 19, 1936, in Sterling, the son of Cecil and Edna (Kraft) Seeley. He served in the Navy from 1954 to 1957. He married Nancy J. Rotz on Sept. 6, 1958, in Sterling. She preceded him in death on Dec. 10, 2010.

Survivors include one daughter, Andra (Ron) Shaw, and two sons, Raymond “Scott” (Deana) Seeley and Jay (Samantha Petty) Seeley, all of Sterling; two sisters, Sandra (Jim) Arduini of Sterling and Jackie (Von) Blackburn of Rock Falls; two brothers, Donald (Tawanna) Seeley of Waterman, and Jerry (Bonnie) Sternes of Arizona; and three grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death one sister, Donna Baker.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling. Graveside service with full military honors will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.

A memorial has been established.
