Beverly (Strayton) Seeley August 1, 1934-December 19,2010
Preston-Beverly (Strayton) Seeley, 76, wife of the late Robert G. Seeley of, 18 Lynn Dr., Preston, died Sunday at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Lowell, MA on August 1, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Lynwood and Mildred (Gibson) Strayton. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a registered nurse at the Wm. W. Backus Hospital. On December 21, 1957 at Mashonticut Park Church in Cranston, R.I. she was united in marriage to Robert G. Seeley who died June 21, 1996. She was also predeceased by a son Robert L. Seeley, a daughter Pamela J. Seeley, and a sister Patricia Caldwell. Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law Thomas W. and Shelley Seeley of Uncasville; three grandchildren Jason Seeley and his wife Kristen, and Jessica and Tyler Seeley; two great grandchildren Ashton and Nile Seeley, and several nieces and nephews. Memorial visitation will take place on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 7 p.m. at the Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations are asked to be made in her memory to the Backus Foundation, 326 Washington St., Norwich, Ct. 06360
