Betty Jane Seeley, 73, of New Auburn, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1997, at Luther Hospital.
She was born Nov. 2, 1924, in Eau Claire to Andrew and Margaret (Weese) Christenson. She grew up in Eau Claire. She married Winton Franklin Seeley Aug. 9, 1944, in Eau Claire, where they lived until moving to the New Auburn area in 1975. She was a homemaker, and was an active member of the Blue Diamond Cootiettes for many years.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathy (John) Hoover of Eau Claire; a son Gary (Doris) Seeley of Eau Claire; grandsons, David and Steven Seeley of Eau Claire; sisters, Phyliss (Gene) Modl of Aitken, Minn, and Gloria (Everett) Klopp of Eau Claire; brothers, Earl (Barbara) Christenson, and John (Nancy) Christenson, both of Eau Claire; several nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Winton, in 1979; a son Bradley, in July 1997, and two brothers, Harold and Richard.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at the Smith Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gordon Thorpe officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery.
