BETTE LOUISE SEELEY, 78, of Tamworth, N.H., formerly of Bayville, BERKELEY, died Friday, Jan. 30, at Community Living for the Elderly, Tamworth. She was an accomplished musician and was choir director, pianist and secretary for the Bayville Methodist Church for over 30 years. She was a native of New Jersey.

She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Seeley; and her mother, Ethel Quinby. Surviving are a son, William Smith of Beachwood; a sister, Barbara Willey Fromm, with whom she resided for the past eight years; and many grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Feb. 7 at the Ossipee Mountain Baptist Church in Center Ossipee, N.H. Pastor David Mitchell will officiate. Burial will take place in the spring. Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service, West Ossipee, N.H., is in charge of arrangements.

TAMWORTH, N.H. — Bette Louise Seeley, 78, of Tamworth, and a native of New Jersey, died Jan. 30 at Community Living for the Elderly in Tamworth.

She was the daughter of Ethel Quinby of Sandwich, N.H.

Mrs. Seeley was an accomplished musician and was choir director, pianist and secretary for the Bayville Methodist Church in Bayville for more than 30 years. After moving to Tamworth she attended the Ossipee Mountain Baptist Church in Center Ossipee, N.H. where she was the pianist and singer for that community. She was an avid handcrafter and made many blankets and sweaters for area children and adults. Bette was soft spoken and very generous with her time. She loved singing hymns and playing Zilch with her neighbors and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Seeley. Surviving are her sister, Barbara Willey Fromm, with whom she resided for the past eight years; a son, William Smith of Beachwood; and many grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 at the Ossipee Mountain Baptist Church in Center Ossipee, N.H. Pastor David Mitchell will officiate. Burial will be in the spring.
