Bill’s son-in-law descends from Emeline Seely who married John Oscar Barton. He believes Emeline was born in Salt Lake City in 1851 and that she is the daughter of William S. Seel(e)y and Elizabeth DeHart. Bill is seeking further info on Emeline’s ancestors.
The SGS 7th Generation Book lists a William Stuart Seely (SGS # 2336) who m. 1st, 24 Nov 1832, Elizabeth Dehart (d. 6 Apr 1873, Mt. Pleasant, UT). William was b. 18 May 1812, Pickering, Ontario, Canada and d. 16/18 Sep 1896, Mt. Pleasant, Sanpete County, UT; he was bur. in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. This William appears to be a match. His line is listed as Justus Azel, Justus William, Joseph, John, Benjamin, Nathaniel, and Robert Seeley. Dan Seelye sent Bill a GEDCOM file of the ancestors of Emeline Seely and John Barton and requested Bill provide a GEDCOM file of Emeline’s descendants.
