Charles Seeley, Retired Lackawanna Engineer, Succumbs to Heart Ailment at Northumberland
Charles S. Seeley, aged 76, former resident of Kingston and engineer for many years on the D.L.& W. R.R., died at 8:45 this morning at his home in Northumberland, of heart trouble. Mr. Seeley was stricken ill several weeks ago and failed to show any improvement.
For many years the Seeley family resided on Page street, Kingston. “Snap” Seeley, as the deceased was known to associate employes of the D.L.&W. R.R. was engineer on the mail train between Northumberland and Scranton. Some years ago his eyesight became impaired and he was forced to relinquish his position. He left the railroad with a splendid service record.
Surviving are his wife and three sons, Harry Seeley, engineer on the Lackawanna; Myron Seeley, engineer on the Pennsylvania, and Charles S. Seeley, Jr., traffic superintendent of shipping at the Baltimore Pennsylvania Railroad port.
Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.

Charles Seeley, 76, died yesterday morning at 8:45 at his home in Northumberland of heart trouble. He had been ill several weeks.
Mr. Seeley is a former resident of Kingston and was an engineer on the D.L.&W. railroad for many years. He served as engineer on the mail train between Northumberland and Scranton for many years until failing sight forced him to relinquish his position.
He is survived by his wife and three sons: Harry Seeley, engineer on the D.L.&W. railroad; Myron Seeley, engineer on the Pennsylvania, and Charles S. Seeley, Jr., traffic superintendent of shipping at the Baltimore Pennsylvania Railroad port. The funeral will be held from the home on Sunday afternoon at 2. Interment will be at Northumberland.

CHARLES SEELEY, OLD ENGINEER, DIES AT NORTHUMBERLAND HOME
Charles Sherwood Seeley, a retired D.L.& W. engineer, who ran a passenger train on the Bloomsburg division between Scranton and Northumberland for many years, died on Thursday at his home in Northumberland, aged seventy-five years, following complications due to a stroke a month ago. He was in the railroad service for forty-four years, and never had an accident. One of his sons is now an engineer on the Lackawanna system; another an engineer on the Pennsylvania railroad, and another is superintendent for the Pennsylvania railroad steamship lines at Baltimore.
Mr. Seeley was well known all along the Lackawanna railroad, and had many friends among the old-time engineers and trainmen in Scranton. His funeral was held at Northumberland this afternoon.
