Local GT Man Dies In His Detroit Hotel

Clark E. Seeley, 71, of 219 Calhoun St., a 46-year Grand Trunk Western Railroad employe who since 1942 had commuted weekends between his home and his work in Detroit, was found dead in his Detroit hotel room Monday afternoon.

An autopsy was performed in Detroit yesterday to determine the cause of death.  Mr. Seeley had been ill last week but in a telephone conversation with members of his family last Friday night said he was feeling better.  He was employed in Grand Trunk’s Detroit office as a disbursement clerk.

He was born Nov. 24, 1892, at Climax, a son of George and Nina (Brundage) Seeley and began work here for the Grand Trunk in 1918.  He is survived by his wife, the former Gladys M. Curtis; a son, George C., of 21165 51/2 Mile Road; a daughter, Mrs. David (Nina) Wilson of 171 Lois Drive; a brother Glenn, of Flint; two sisters, Mrs. C.J. (Nellie) Kilpatrick of 521 W. Territorial Road and Mrs. Ralph (Bertha) Hitchings of California, and two grandchildren.
