NEWCASTLE – Funeral services for lifelong resident Claudette Seeley, 60, will be held at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Jones officiating.  Burial will follow at Newcastle Greenwood Cemetery.

She died Oct. 27, 1999 at her home after a gallant battle with cancer.

She was born May 27, 1939, at Newcastle, the daughter of Lloyd Nelson and Theda (Adkins) Waggener.  She was raised in Newcastle and was the owner/operator of Rocky Mountain Supply from 1962 until 1986.

She married Keith Seeley on Aug. 10, 1972.

She was past honored queen Bethel No. 15, International Order of Job’s Daughters.

She never complained about her fight against cancer and told her family many times how blessed she was to have had the opportunity to raise her four boys and see her grandchildren grow.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Survivors are four sons, Sheldon Murphy of Newcastle, John Murphy of Bend, Ore., Charles Murphy of Salida, Colo, and Timothy Murphy of Las Vegas; her twin sister Claudene Davis of Casper; two brothers, L.N. Waggener of Gillette and Mike Waggener of Newcastle, seven grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials to the Weston County Fair and Rodeo.

Worden Funeral Directors of Newcastle is in charge of arrangements.

Incorrect information was provided to the Star-Tribune and the obituary is being re-run as a courtesy to the family.
