Cordelia Seeley, Doctor’s Widow

Mrs. Oscar Seeley, widow of a former faculty member of Hahnemann Medical College, died of heart failure Sunday at the Boulevard Manor Nursing Home in Boynton Beach, Fla.  She was 82 and lived in Delran Beach, Fla.  She formerly lived in Paoli.

Mrs. Seeley, the former Cordelia Morris, was the widow of a former associate professor of laryngology and rhinology at Hahnemann.  He died in 1969.

Mrs. Seeley was a member of U.S. Senior Golf Association, the National Society on the Colonial Dames of America, the Colonial Daughters of the 17th Century, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Huguenot Society of Pennsylvania.

Surviving are a son, Franklin M.; a daughter, Mrs. Cordelia Lenz; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

CORDELIA MORRIS SEELEY

Age 82, of 3421 Spanish Trail, Delray Beach, died Sunday, March 17, in Boynton Beach.

Mrs. Seeley had been a resident of Delray Beach for many years, and formerly came from Paoli, Pennsylvania.  She was the widow of Dr. Oscar Seeley, who died in 1969.  In past year, Mrs. Seeley was quite active in the U.S. Senior Women’s Golf Association, the Colonial Daughters of the Seventeenth Century, Daughters of the American Revolution, National Society of Colonial Dames, The Huguenot Society of Pennsylvania, and other organizations and clubs in the area.

She is survived by a son, Franklin M. Seeley, of Bryn Mawr, Pa.; a daughter, Mrs. James E. Lenz, of No. Carolina, 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, March 21, at 3:10, at the Unity Church of Delray, 101 N.W. 22nd St., Scobee.  Ireland Potter Funeral Home, Delray Beach, in charge of arrangements.
