Dorcas S. Seeley

FORT ANN – Dorcas S. Seeley, formerly of 8 Catherine Street, died Saturday (May 29, 1993) at Pleasant Valley Infirmary in Argyle.

Born in Dickinson Center, she was the daughter of Seldom and Mary (Chase) Phillips.

Mrs. Seeley was a licensed practical nurse.  She was employed for private duty work.

She was a former member of Battle Hill Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of United Protestant Church of Fort Ann.

Her husband, James Seeley, and one brother, Arthur Phillips, both died before her.

Survivors include three daughters, Betty Yole and June Fritze, both of West Fort Ann, and Naomi Seeley of Glens Falls; one son James Seeley of South Glens Falls; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Private services will be conducted at Mason Funeral Home, 63 George Street, Fort Ann, with the Rev. Thom Scholten, pastor of United Protestant Church, officiating.

Burial will be at Brown Cemetery, West Fort Ann.

There are no calling hours scheduled.

Bearers will be Donald Yole, Mial Pierce, Donald Pierce and Douglas Lavigne.
