Eugene Seeley
Eugene Seeley (Gene) age 91 was the beloved husband of Doris Seeley of more than 59 years.
He was the father and hero to son Scott (Robyne), Gene was the loving grandfather to Mike (Katy), Matt (Becky), Phil (Kelsey), Jill (Chris). He was also the Great grandfather aka GG to Chase, Grey and Tenric.
Gene was in the Navy during WWII and served on the destroyer, USS Chevalier stationed in the South Pacific. His Rank was Ensign First Class, Electricians Mate. His ship ran escort to many of the nations most top-secret missions in the region. On a lighter note, he also managed the ship’s still for the captain.
The sea and water have always been a big part of his life and ours. His boating knowledge and legacy have been passed down 3 generations and that will only continue.
Gene was the patriarch of the Seeley family and part of a generation that provided his family with experiences that we would have never know without him.
Gene will be dearly missed, but his legacy will live forever through us.
A memorial visitation will take place at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, 39 W. Burdick, Oxford on Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 4-6 PM with a memorial service beginning at 6 PM.
