Anna J. Seely

VINCENT – Anna J. Seely, 85, of Vincent died at 2 p.m. Saturday in Marietta Memorial Hospital.

She was born on July 18, 1897, at Millersburg to William and Elizabeth Smail.  She had resided at Millersburg before coming to Vincent in 1919.  She was a member of the Vincent United Methodist Church, a member and past president of the United Methodist Women and had been a teacher in the Sunday school for many years.  She had formerly been employed at the Barlow-Vincent Elementary School.

She was married to William Seeley (Sic) who preceded her in death in 1961.

Survivors include a son, Raymond Seely, at home; a granddaughter, three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Smail of Navarre and Virgil Smail of Coshocton; and two sisters, Latha Wilson of Big Prairie and Betty Johnson of Millersburg.  She was preceded in death by a son, Harold Dean Seely; two great-grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters.

Services will begin at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Vincent United Methodist Church with the Rev. Daryl Fourman officiating.  Burial will be in Barlow Cemetery.  Friends may call at the McClure-Schafer Funeral Home until noon Tuesday and at the church for one hour prior to the service.
