Bill Seely

Services for Bill Seely, 65, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Colonial Baptist Church with the Rev. John Rogers, pastor, officiating. The Rev. Everett Ward, a retired Baptist minister, will assist.

Burial will be in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under direction of Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home.

Seely died Tuesday, April 21, 1998, in Methodist Hospital.

He was born in Velma, Okla. He moved to Lubbock from Lamesa in 1959. He was a member of Colonial Baptist Church. He married Sue James on Oct. 24, 1958, in Ackerly. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was a parts man for McWhorter’s Truck Center.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Bill Jr. of Lubbock; a daughter, Renee Watson of Idalou; a brother, Orville Seely of Ackerly; two sisters, Naomi Stroud of Comanche, Okla., and Gloria Cowan of Duncan, Okla.; and three grandchildren.
