Carlene Ree Seely passed away on June 16, 2011. She was born August 5, 1955, in Stockton, California. Her parents were Patrick Bowie and Dorothy Durfee. She married Scott R. Seely on March 22, 1975, in the Oakland Temple. Carlene had three beautiful girls: Shana Shelburne, 1976, Sheri Fonger, 1978, and Brittney Seely, 1990. She enjoyed playing with 5 grandchildren: Thomas, Isabella, and Charles Shelburne and Anthony Seely, and Kaylee Fonger.
Grandma’s favorite thing to do was play games and watch shows with her grandchildren. One of her passions was eating great food and socializing at meals. Family dinner was very important to her, even as a grandmother. Carlene loved to have her feet rubbed and enjoyed word puzzles. She was admired for her generosity to others and strong testimony of the gospel. Carlene was a fighter for many years of her life and held on strong to the end. Mom will be missed…….”
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11:00am at the Glenmore 4th Ward, 4881 West Cindy Lane (off of 9800 South) where friends may call an hour prior.
