Funeral Rites To Be Saturday For D.W. Seely

Funeral services for D. William Seely, 55, head of The Crowell-Collier Publishing Co. accounting department, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the Littleton funeral home by the Rev. Harold L. Myers, Jr., pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.

Mr. Seely, of 424 Southwood dr., died at 8:45 p.m. Thursday in the Springfield City Hospital where he had been admitted Sept. 7. He had been ill for the last six weeks.

Born in Clark County, Oct. 27, 1893, the son of David William and Lydia Stager Seely, he had resided in this community his entire life.

Mr. Seely had been an employe of the Crowell-Collier Publishing Co. for more than 40 years.

Mr. Seely was a member of Anthony Lodge No. 455, Free and Accepted Masons, the Comptroller’s Institute of America, and the National Association of Coast Accountants.

Survivors include his widow, Zola; a son, Ben K. of Albuquerque, N.M; two brothers, Ross of Springfield, and Max of Donnelsville, and four grandchildren.
