SEELY, Eddy L. – 3510 Belford Rd., Holly, age 85. died Monday, August 9, 1982, at Little Traverse Hospital, Petoskey. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, from the Brown Funeral Home, 1616 Davison Rd., Rev. R. Thomas Harfst officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held 7 PM Thursday, under the auspices of Morning Star Lodge #556 F&AM. Friends desiring may make contributions to the Shriners Childrens Hospital. Mr. Seely was born in Midland Co. November 28, 1896, and had been a resident of Flint since 1909. He was united in marriage to Louella Russell June 26, 1926. She preceded him in death June 27, 1975. He married Clara Beach December 26, 1981. He was a charter member of the Third Ave. Baptist Church, member of the Morning Star Lodge #556, past master of Morning Star Lodge, member of the Bay City Consistory, the Royal Arch Masons, the Washington Chapter #15 K.T., member of the Elf Khurafah Temple Shrine, member of the Pilgrim Chapter #447 OES, member of the Order of the DeMolay Legion of Homor, member of the Gideons, he owned and operated Seely’s Drugs for 30 years, and he worked 5 years at Zemmer’s Pharmacy of Holly. Surviving are: wife, Clara; 2 daughters, Mrs. Bruce (Mary) Gonyea and Mrs. Robert (Louella) Brewster of Phoenix: 6 grandchildren’ 4 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Richard (Lydia) Allen of Flushing, Mrs. Harry (Flossie) Argue of Flint; brother, Ross Seely of Flint; nieces and nephews; 3 step-daughters Joan Sanborn of Holly, Vivian Wells of Waterford, Alma Grace Samborski of Brighton; stepson, Donald B. of Holly; 6 grandchildren; 13 step grandchildren.
