EDWARD MORGAN SEELY

Ed. Morgan Seely was born in Osceola, May 15, 1861, son of Morgan and Harriet Beebe Seely, and died in Hartford, Conn., Jan. 13, 1944.

When the Westfield Bank was organized in 1885 by E.M. Tucker and Morgan Seely under the name of the Farmers And Traders Bank, Ed Seely was the cashier and continued in that capacity until 1893, when he went to Osceola to work in the Morgan Seely bank and his brother, Frank Seely, took the cashier position at Westfield. He spent four years in Osceola and after some time in Virginia went to Hartford, where he was connected with a typewriter company until his retirement.

Mr. Seely is survived by two nieces and two nephews: Mrs. Hugh B. Strang, of Westfield; Mrs. Robert C. Albee, of Elmira; Fred M. Taylor, of Toledo, Ohio, and Reed Bosworth, of Wyalusing, Pa.
