Eva Marie Seely

Eva Marie (Bowman) Seely, 79-year-old resident of Plainview, Texas, passed from this life on Jan. 23, 2017, in Lubbock, Texas. Eva was born Feb. 4, 1937, to William Roy and Eva Annis (Shaw) Bowman in Vici, Okla. She attended Vici School until 10th grade and then attended Arnett School, graduating with the class of 1955. She moved to Plainview and went to work for the ASC office. She had a long and outstanding career and retired after 45 years. In August 1960, she married Leon Seely in Plainview. Two daughters, Deborah and Karla, were brought into this union. She was a member of the Credit Union Board in Plainview. Eva enjoyed spending time traveling with the bowling team, fishing and camping. She also enjoyed sewing, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Eva is preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Faulk and husband Jerry; parents William and Annis Bowman; sisters Hazel McAlary, Francis Valescu, Dorene Bowman; brothers Wilmer, Glenn, Vernon Orlin and Gerald Bowman. She is survived by her loving caregiver Leon Seely of Plainview; her daughter Karla Johnson of Little Elm, Texas; sisters Claretta Shaw of Dumas, Texas; Verla Watts of Vici, Okla.; brother, Mervin Bowman of Vici, Okla.; sister-in-law Travis Bowman of Harmon, Okla.; four grandchildren, Devin and Ben Odom, Kimberly Ratliff, Shawnda Williams; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandkids and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services were held Monday, Jan. 390, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, Harmon, Okla., with burial following at Vassar Cemetery, Vici, Okla
