GREEN RIVER, Emery County – Mrs. Florence Amelia Shiner Seely, 71, Green River, died Aug. 7 at 12:10 a.m. in a Price hospital after a short illness. Born Sept. 12, 1894, Fremont, Wayne County, to Charles Nelson and Mariah Jensen Shiner. Married to Joseph Seely Oct. 2, 1912, Castle Dale; later solemnized Manti LDS Temple. He died 1943. Green River postmaster, 19 years. Active member LDS Relief Society; American Legion Auxiliary; Federated Women’s Clubs. Survivors: sons, daughters, Mrs. Erroll (Jane) Stott, Robert Seely, both Green River; Hawley Seely, Grand Junction, Colo.; Richard Seely, Coco Beach, Fla.; Mrs. Mel (Beulah) Bohleen, Blackfoot, Idaho; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, sisters, Delbert Shiner, Altonah; Les Shiner, Anaconda, Mont.; Wilford Shiner, Leadore, Idaho; Mrs. Ruby Nelson, Los Angeles; Mrs. Mae Waterson, Salt Lake City. Funeral Friday 11 a.m., Green River LDS Ward Chapel. Friends call Mitchell Funeral Home, Price, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday; ward chapel Friday hour prior to services. Burial Friday 3 p.m., Castle Dale Cemetery.
