George Edgar Seely

George Edgar Seely, 84, of Rileyville, died Tuesday at Page Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. at Rileyville Baptist Church.

Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home, Luray.

George E. Seely

George Edgar Seely went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at Page Memorial Hospital. He was born March 8, 1928, in Delaware County, Pa.

He started his career in the U.S. Marine Corps, and worked at Avtex as a lab technician until it closed in 1989. He was a member of the Rileyville Baptist Church, where he served as deacon, Sunday school teacher and song leader for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; a sister, Shirley Thorton of Pennsylvania; sons, John and Peter Seely of Rileyville; and a daughter, Libby Seely Coulter of Chesapeake, Va. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 29, at 3 p.m. at Rileyville Baptist Church with family night Friday, Sept. 28, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Rileyville Baptist Church, 7044 U.S. Highway 340N, Rileyville, VA 22650.
