Glenn L. Seely, 56, of Fremont died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, in Omaha.
He was born Oct. 22, 1956, in Rochester, N.Y., to Lawrence and Harriet (Smitter) Seely. Glenn grew up in Macedon, N.Y., and graduated from Palmyra High School in 1974. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time in the Adirondack Mountains. Glenn moved to Texas in 1981 and married Christine Kumm in Sherman, Texas, on April 29, 2000. He fought a great fight against Melanoma.
He is survived by his wife, Christine (Kumm) Seely of Fremont; children, Toni Seely, Erin Seely, Tara Seely (fiancé Jacob Gonzalez), all of Austin, Texas, and Jessa Seely of Fremont; siblings, Brian (Kerri) Seely of Grand Rapids, Mich., Mark Seely of Pottsboro, Texas, and Daina (Tom) Bartzsch of Grand Rapids, Mich.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alan and Sandra Kumm of Fremont; brother-in-law, Eric (Sherri) Kumm; and niece, Kiersten, all of Charlotte, N.C.; and former wife, Michelle Pallitto Seely of Dallas.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont.
Memorials may be given to the family for a later designation.
