MISHAWAKA – Harold K. Seely 90, died in Memorial Hospital on Saturday March 17, 2007. Harold was born in Montazuma, IN., on Feb. 4, 1917, to Michael and Effie Seely. Harold retired from the South Bend Community School Corp. after 25 years of service and the South Bend Tribune after many years of service. On Feb. 25,1939, he married the former Vivian Walter who survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Marlyn (Robert) Clark and Sue (Robert) Kistler both of South Bend, Donna (Thomas) Petersen of Midland, MI and Carol (Thomas) Csenar of Huntington Beach, CA: 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Gladys Martin and Hazel Siders; and three brothers, Glen, Mike and John Seely. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 20, 2007, at 11 a.m. in Evangel Heights United Methodist Church, South Bend. Entombment will follow at Riverview cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday March 19, in Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave. South Bend. and one hour prior to service time at the church. Contributions in Harold’s name may be made to the church or to the American Diabetes Association.
