John Andrew Seely of Portland passed away June 11, 2010, at age 46. He was born Dec. 12, 1963, to David P. Seely and Dorothy M. Hopkins in Nashville, Tenn. He worked as a land surveyor before moving to the Portland area in 2001. He was also a musician (bass guitar). John is survived by his significant other, Robin O’Neill; mother, Dottie Hopkins; brother, Mark (Amanda) Seely; aunt, Lenis Northmore; uncle, Chris Hopkins; nephews, Ashe and Viktor; niece, Jessica; and cousins, Jonathan, Angelica, Cliff, and Tim. He was preceded in death by his father, David P. Seely. A service for John will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010, in Crown Memorial Center – Milwaukie.
