Seely Rites Held Today In Wortham

Funeral services for Mrs. Roger (Lovie) Seely, 70, of Wortham were held today at 1 in the First Baptist Church of Wortham.  Dr. Edward Thiele, Dr. Ed N. Laux, Odum Dyess and the Rev. Glen Lattimer officiated.  Interment was in Wortham Cemetery.

Mrs. Seely and her husband operated the City Drug Store in Wortham for many years before they retired.

Survivors include her husband two brothers, Wade Odum and L.E. Odum, both of Houston; three sisters, Mrs. W.D. Dyess of Tyler, Mrs. Margaret Morrow of Waco and Mrs. W.D. Scarbrough; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were J.D. Moore, Dan Moore, Glen Wren, Kenneth Butler, Jim Lott, Laude Jenkins, and W.M. Craig.

Honorary pallbearers were Pete Williams, M.P. Manderville, R.R. Fleming, W. Wilburn, H. Walker, Roy Batts and Ted Davidson.

Walker Funeral Home in Wortham was in charge of arrangements.
