Mrs. Merrill Seely

Mrs. Mary (Mae) E. Seely, 87, of 1 Cone Street, died Thursday in the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Merrill Seely.

Born August 7, 1880 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Reuben and Harriet Godley Curtis.

She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Wellsboro and the Tioga County Republican Women’s Council.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Luva Suhr of Wellsboro; Mrs. Mary Ladd of Union Lake, Mich., and Mrs. Doris Younker of Corning, N.Y.; two sons, Howard and Curtis of Roseville, Mich.; one sister, Mrs. Harriet Behs, Pasadena, Cal., and 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Tussey Funeral Home on Sunday with the Rev. Paul Clay Shaffer officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield.
