Patricia M. Seely, 71, died Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at Bright Kavanagh House in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Pleasant Hill Free Church. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Pleasant Hill.
Pat was born in Clay County, Missouri and lived most of her life in Des Moines. She worked as Director of Housekeeping at Luther Park Care Center and Mailroom Supervisor for Holmes Murphy before retiring from the maintenance staff of Grace Church in November of 2008. She was an active member of the Pleasant Hill Free Church and the church women’s group. She loved caring for her family and raising her daughter and grandchildren.
Left to cherish Pat’s memory are her daughter, Shelli Carl; three grandchildren, Dan, Matt (Jana) and Megan Carl; and great grandson, Alexander Carl all of Des Moines; brother, Danny (Joyce) Seely of Westminster, CO and sister, Claudia (Jay) Woodard of Carlisle.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Iles Funeral Homes-Grandview Park Chapel. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Pleasant Hill Free Church or Hospice of Central Iowa Bright Kavanagh House.
