PRESTON ALLAN SEELY

PRESTON ALLAN SEELY, 80, a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, died March 2, 1994, at a local hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at 619 E. St. Elmo St. Cremation is planned. Blunt Mortuary, 2229 W. Colorado Ave., is handling arrangements.

Mr. Seely was born Dec. 21, 1913, in Norfolk, Neb., to Thomas Arthur and Alyce Florence Barker.

He was married Nov. 14, 1947, in Colorado Springs to Alice Lenore Lear, who survives.

He is also survived by a son, Allen L. of Fort Morgan, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald A.

Mr. Seely was an area resident since 1947. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of Masonic Tejon Lodge 107 and American Legion Post 5. He was a musician and had his own band, The Mello-aires.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the giver’s choice.
