The death of Shirley Irene Seely of Hampton, widow of Ted Seely occurred April 25, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born at Saint John, daughter of the late Gordon and Mary (Hosford) Scott. Shirley was a secretary for David Lutz for a number of years before retiring. She was a member of Church of the Ascension and A.C.W. Shirley was an active member of the Lower Norton Community Hall “Card Club”. She was a past secretary of the Lower Norton Community Club, NB Water Ski Association and the Dr. V.A. Snow Nursing Home Board. She is survived by one daughter, Sheri Mersereau (Jay), Hampton; two sons, Scott Seely (Paulette), Hampton, Shawn Seely (Jennifer), Hampton; one sister, Alta Cooling (Chris), Calgary; one brother, Doug Scott (Dolly), Moncton; eight grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Resting at Reid’s Funeral Home, 1063 Main Street, Hampton. The funeral will be held Saturday, 11:00am, at Church of the Ascension, Hampton, with Rev. Bob LeBlanc officiating. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. Memorials to Church of the Ascension would be appreciated by the family. Visiting 7-9pm Thursday and 2-4pm & 7-9pm Friday.
