GALVESTON – Albert Edwin Sealy, 86, of Galveston died Friday at John Sealy Hospital.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Broadway Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Dowdy will officiate. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Hark, Hitchcock. Visitation will be at 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Sealy was born July 10, 1903, in Galveston County. He was a government carpenter and a commercial fisherman. He was a member of the Episcopal Church and was married 64 years on July 3.

Survivors include his wife, Gertrude, Sealy of Galveston; a daughter, Helen Negrini of Galveston; four sons, Albert E. “Sach” Sealy, John A. Sealy, George S. Sealy and Kenneth “Hopper” Sealy, all of Galveston; a sister, Mary Hankaner of Santa Fe; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Al Negrini, Robert Sealy, Billy Joe Sealy, John Sealy Jr., John Wayne Sealy and Rocky Sealy.
