Albert Edwin “Satch” Sealy

GALVESTON – Albert Edwin “Satch” Sealy, 74, passed away Friday, February 3, 2006, at Seabreeze Nursing & Rehabilitation in Texas City, Texas.

Service visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2006, in the Memorial Room of Broadway Funeral Home, Galveston. Burial will follow services Thursday at Lakeview Cemetery, also in Galveston. Mr. Sealy’s family will also be receiving friends for visitation at the funeral home Wednesday evening, February 8, 2006, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Mr. Sealy was born on Galveston Island March 30, 1931 and has remained an island resident lifelong, where he fished the open gulf waters as a commercial fisherman.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Sealy, Sr. and wife, Gertrude Baker Sealy, his only sister, Helen Sealy Negrini and also one of his brothers, John Sealy. He leaves behind his only son, Robert Sealy and wife, Marilyn of Santa Fe, Texas, one grandson, Zachary Sealy, also of Santa Fe, Texas and two brothers, Kenneth Sealy and wife, Maryann and George Sealy, both of Galveston, Texas. Sharing in his loss, too, is Mr. Sealy’s, sister-in-law, Bessie Sealy, of Galveston, his girlfriend, Sue Lang, and her family, of Friendswood, Texas, a host of other loving family and friends.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
