Alfred James Sealy

Alfred James Sealy, 70, farmer and resident on the Island for 34 years, died at 4:50 yesterday afternoon at his home six miles down the island. Mr. Sealy was a native of Canada, born Dec. 20, 1864.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen Adams Sealy of Galveston: five daughters, Mrs. Joseph Hogan and Mrs. Fred Hankamer of Galveston, Mrs. Tom Ray of Oroville, Wash., Mrs. A.T. Koerner and Mrs. D.B. Stinson, of Los Angeles: two sons, L.E. Sealy of Alhambra, and Albert Sealy of Galveston: 19 grandchildren and other relatives.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by J. Levy & Bro.

SEALY – Funeral services for Alfred James Sealy, 70, farmer and resident of the Island for 34 years, were held yesterday afternoon at Levy’s funeral home. Rev. Edmund H. Gibson officiated and burial was in Lakeview Cemetery. Mr. Seely died at his residence six miles down the island Monday afternoon.
