Jean was born January 31, 1927 in Chickasaw, Oklahoma to the late Alvah and Hallie Malcolm. She was a long time resident of Sealy and very active in the community. Prior to living in Sealy, she resided in Richardson for over 40 years. Jean was a member of the Richardson Order of the Eastern Star, The Sealy Historical Society and the Sealy Garden Club. She was also a member of San Felipe United Methodist Church. Jean had a knack for remembering everything and was a trivia buff, winning many prizes, including a car and vacations to England and Austria.
She is preceded in death by her husband of over fifty years, Thomas J. Sealy.
Jean is survived by her son, Bruce Malcolm and his wife Sharon Ann Sealy; grandchildren, Marie Elizabeth, Jeffrey Alan, and Melissa Ann Sealy.
Friends and family are welcome to visit from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at the Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. A Committal Ceremony will take place at the Houston National Cemetery at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday morning.
