Mrs. Mary Clark

CARROLLTON – Mrs. Mary Seely Clark, 81, wife of Joseph Clark, and a member of an old Carrollton family, died Wednesday at 7:10 p.m. in Boyd Memorial Hospital. She had been in failing health for several years.

A daughter of the late Cyrus and Carrie Boyd Seely, she was born in Green County in November of 1876.

She was a member of East End Reading Circle.

Surviving beside her husband, are a son, Joseph Seely Clark, and a daughter, Virginia, both of Carrollton, and one grandson.

The body is at Simpson Funeral Home where rites will be conducted Friday at 3 p.m.; by the Rev. Robert Pilsch. Burial will be in Carrollton Cemetery.
