Edna Lucille Smith Sealey
FAYETTEVILLE – Mrs. Edna Lucille Smith Sealey, 82, of Fayetteville, formerly of Lumberton, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born June 3, 1928, in Robeson County, to the late Claude Simpson and Ola Butler Smith. She previously worked with the U.S. Selective Service as a secretary. She was a member of Lady Lions. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Sealey Jr., and her parents, Claude and Ola Smith. Mrs. Sealey is survived by a son, Jeffrey Benjamin Sealey and wife, Rachel, of Charlotte; a daughterm Diane Sealey Black of Fayetteville; and four grandchildren, Joshua Sealey, Travis Williams, Laura Williams and Staff Sgt. Donnie Williams. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton, with the Rev. Joe Bounds and the Rev. Robbie Byrd officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, 809 E 5th St., in Lumberton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boys & Girls Home at Lake Waccamaw, P.O. Box 127, Lake Waccamaw, NC 28450.
