Mrs Helen Sealey Hales, 87
Helen Sealey Hales of Bladenboro passed away on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Wesley Pines in Lumberton. Mrs. Hales was born Aug. 15, 1925, to the late I.P. and Alice Ivey Sealey. She was preceded in death by her husband, David W. Hales; three brothers, John, Buck and I.P. Jr.; and three sisters, Vidalia Hall, Margaret Sealey and Betty Stone. Mrs. Hales is survived by her two sons, David Hales Jr. and wife Christy of Bladenboro, and Chet Hales and wife Beth of Ocean Isle Beach; two brothers, Fuller Sealey and wife Nancy of Lumberton, and Paul Sealey and wife Margaret of Florence, S.C.; two sisters, Lillian Johnson of Raleigh, and Jackie Wusselwhite of Lumberton; and three grandchildren, Casey, Cassidy and Camryn Hales. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. Funeral services were set for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at First Baptist Church in Bladenboro with the Rev. Bert Young officiating. Burial was set to follow in Hickory Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ed Worley, Gideons International, 528 Peacock Road, Whiteville, NC 28472. Arrangements by Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home, Elizabethtown.
