NEOGA Frances E. Morgan, 81, of Neoga, Illinois, passed away at 10:20 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2009, in the Heartland Christian Village of Neoga, Illinois.
Frances was born May 15, 1928, in Coles County, Illinois, the daughter of William and Lucille (Drum) Seeley. She married Charles E. “Gene” Morgan February 16, 1946, in Mattoon, Illinois. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church of Neoga. Frances owned and operated the Morgan Cleaners of Arcola, Illinois for several years and she also was a former employee of Crawford Shoe Company of Mattoon, Illinois.
Mrs. Morgan leaves her husband, Charles E. “Gene” Morgan of rural Neoga, Illinois; four daughters, Connie Shaw and husband Dean of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Julia K. Clark and husband Dean of Effingham, Illinois; Joyce Duvall and husband Rick of Casey, Illinois and Debby Thomas and husband Brad of Neoga, Illinois; one brother, Robert “Frank” Seeley and wife Sandy of rural Charleston, Illinois; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and one sister.
Memorials may be made to the Heartland Christian Village Auxiliary – Wheelchair Van, American Parkinson Disease.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 15, 2009, in the Grace United Methodist Church of Neoga, Illinois, with the Rev. Deryck Sonaram, and the Rev. James Whitaker officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 14, 2009 at Grace United Methodist Church and for one hour at the Church on Monday before the services. Burial will be in the Dodge Grove Cemetery of Mattoon, Illinois. The Swengel – O’Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, is in charge of arrangements.
